You probably already know that with BT Webmail you can access your email from any PC that's connected to the Internet - helping you stay in touch wherever you are. But what if you want to use information or programs that are on your office PC or company network when you are away from your desk?
BT's new Business Remote Access Pack makes all this possible, so you are never further away from your office PC than the nearest place you can get on the Internet.
If you travel or work offsite regularly, BT Business Remote Access Pack enables you to access not just the information on your office based PC - but also your applications, information on the company servers, your business intranet and email - in fact anything you can normally access from your office PC.
Access with high security
Remote Access Pack uses state-of-the-art security features including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 128-bit encryption, dual passwords and end-to-end user authentication. For even greater security you can set up one-time-only passwords.
Simple to set up and use
- You download the software, which installs automatically in approximately two minutes.
- With your office PC running and online, you log in from any other computer via the "Your account" area on the BT Business web site. It doesn't matter where you are, so long as you have an Internet connection.
Once logged in, you can work on your PC as if you were sitting in front of it. You can open files, access your network, send and receive emails - you have full access to everything.
- You can also log in from a Pocket PC or Microsoft® Windows® Mobile or Microsoft® Windows® CE wireless device that is connected to the internet.
- You can remotely run a program on your PC desktop - it doesn't need to be installed on the computer you're using to access your PC.
- You can transfer files, folders or whole directories to your present location.
- You can print locally or remotely.
- You can also use Remote Access Pack to give someone else access to your PC - for technical support, for example, or for viewing data during a conference call.
