What is BT Redcare Fire?

BT Redcare offers the most secure form of alarm monitoring available, the service provides continuous monitoring of a BT telephone line that links a professionally installed alarm system on a customer's premises to an Alarm Receiving Centre. The result is continuous protection of our customers'property, every second of the day, 365 days a year.

How could a fire affect my business?

Fire damage can be severe if left unnoticed and insurance payouts following a fire can take months. In this time your business may be unable to operate normally, if at all. You may:

  • be unable to fulfill major orders
  • see business go to your competition as a result
  • need to lay off experienced (and hard to replace) staff who do not have the facilities to carry out their job
  • experience cash flow difficulties
  • undergo insurance / police investigation - can you prove "duty of care" and BS5839 compliance?

By simply adding Redcare monitoring to an existing fire alarm system you can ensure that the Fire Brigade are immediately notified once your alarm detects a fire, even if it's 3 am in the morning and there is no-one around.

How much does it cost?

All installers recommended by BT have agreed to charge no more than £99 for connection and £365 for monitoring pa excluding VAT, subject to availability of a BT line.

Some premises may require a Block Terminal to enable your Fire Alarm to be connected into your telephone line. Your Fire Alarm Maintainer/Installer will advise, if you require a Block Terminal and what charges this will incur.
