How to switch

You will need to contact your old service provider, but the automated transfer procedure ensures your domain is picked up as soon as it's released by your current supplier.

Step 1 - If your domain name ends with .co.uk, .org.uk, or .net.uk, contact your current service provider and ask for the IPS tag to be changed to BTNAMES. If your domain ends with any other extension, contact your current service provider to obtain an AUTH code.

Step 2 - Choose your hosting package from BT and simply call 0800 032 8498 to place your order. We'll send you log in details to your nominated email address - this will enable you to access your account.

Step 3 - On accessing your account complete the 'transfer your domain' form. Activate your BT web space and upload your website to BT's servers.
